Data Model

The data model specifies the data needed to assemble land and carry out ancillary activities, for example:

  • Entities, e.g. people, places, events;

  • Attributes of the entities and their characteristics, e.g. type, format, optionality;

  • Relationships between entities and their characteristics, e.g. a party may have one or more interests;

  • Metadata to inform the use of data, e.g. the quality method applied to verifying the accuracy of the data, provenance of the data, versioning, identifiers.

It provides a common language to communicate requirements, future proofs investment in data and systems and provides the foundation for data transfer standards.
